Why support Neverbird?

  • Elevate Southwest Houston

Downtown may have the Theater District, but there are good hearts, beautiful stories, and a wealth of artistry right here. What if we explored them together, rooted in our own community?

  • Invest in Local Artists

Theater education is never done. Ongoing opportunities to train with local and visiting experts allow artists to continue developing, and production stipends make sure that they are paid for their work.

  • Equip the Next Generation

Our High School program creates an invaluable space for young people to hone their craft, build lasting friendships, play, and—maybe most importantly—make mistakes and learn from them in a nurturing, respectful environment. Progress is rarely tidy.

  • Community Enrichment

Opportunities for arts education shouldn’t be reserved for full-time professionals. Our free workshops ensure that anyone who wants to can access the life-changing work of physical, communal storytelling.

  • The Stories that Matter

An encounter with good theater changes you—it doesn’t simply entertain. We are dedicated to bringing southwest Houston the kind of stories that you’ll continue thinking about for years to come.

  • Create Lasting Impact

Recurrent donations enable us to deepen and continue our offerings for the artists and audiences of southwest Houston. Let’s keep the story going!

Hear from Our Students

“I've seen my teens grow in empathy, self-awareness, and confidence. The ensemble approach creates authentic community. Neither of my high schoolers would describe themselves as a "theater kid" in the stereotypic sense, but they have thrived in a group of students with a variety of personalities, talents, and skill levels, practicing theater with fun friends and wonderful teachers. I am thrilled to see Neverbird Theater launching community theater in Southwest Houston and expanding their offerings to students and adults alike.”

“These classes and plays have taught me to speak and act with honesty, generosity, and love towards my scene partners and audience—a lesson that I will carry forever, and has changed how I interact with every task I am given.”
